You're wearing your favourite jeans, but somehow the outfit doesn’t feel quite right. There’s a good chance you haven’t nailed the right shoes.
In the interest of sanity, here’s an overview of 4 jeans styles and which shoes work best with them.
1. Wide Leg Jeans-
This style loves a pointy-toe shoe. Wear with pointed flats, pointed pumps, or boots with either a pointy or pointy-and-squared-off toe.
2. Barrel Leg Jeans-
These work surprisingly well with lots of modern style shoes. Try with mary-Jane’s, mesh style Mary-Jane’s or ballet flats, pointy toe boots and thong style sandals. It’s a modern jean style and looks its best with on-trend shoes.
3. Skinny Jeans-
Yes, they are back!!! And for some of you, they have never left your wardrobe. For a modern look, style with chunky boots, Converse sneakers or a classic ballet flat. Keep tops and blazers relaxed for an updated look.
4. Straight Leg Jeans-
This is one of the most versatile and easy-to-style jean silhouettes.
Add your favourite sneakers such as the Reebok Club C or Adidas Sambas. These look great with pointy toes heels and boots.
For warmer months, wear with a tee shirt and thong-style shoes. For a classic look, try ballet flats or Mary-Jane’s. Avoid rounded-toe boots, but most styles of shoes will work well with straight-leg jeans.
