Smart Girls Guide to buying a great Blazer 💙

Want to add a Blazer to your wardrobe but are unsure where to start? I've got you.

Firstly, don’t think of your blazer as an item to wear just for work or a special occasion. ✨

Once you have found the perfect blazer for YOU it’s easy to transition it from Work to Weekend and even Date night, with accessories such as bag, shoes and jewellery. Your accessories will play a key role in changing the whole vibe of the outfit. 😎

Now that you’re keen to wear it in as many ways as possible, here are my top tips for buying a great blazer.

Save these tips for the next time you want to buy a blazer 👇

1. Fabric-

Ideally, go for natural fabrics such as linen, cotton or wool. It’s ok if there is a small percentage of man made fibres, but all synthetic fabric won’t breathe or hold its shape as well.

2. Fit-

The blazer needs to be in proportion to YOUR proportions. If you are petite, avoid overly long or oversized blazers.

Should pads should align perfectly with your shoulders. If they extend beyond your shoulders, it’s too big; if they are too narrow, it’s too small.

I prefer single breasted blazers rather than double breasted blazers as they sit better when not done up (which is how it’s mostly likely going to be worn) ✨

3. Colour-

For maximum versatility, choose a solid neutral colour. Navy, Blue, Khaki, Grey, Black or Chocolate are all great choices depending on your personal colouring and lifestyle.

Lastly, have fun wearing your blazer. My favourite way to rock a blazer is with jeans, sneakers and a graphic tee 😎

Happy day, everyone,
